John McCain, yesterday, said it shouldn’t and that he and other Republicans would not get behind it until there were more tax cuts and less “pork” (does anyone even know exactly what that word means anymore?).
However, there are ways to guage whether the stimulus bill would do good or not–on Fox Business, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, after meeting with President Obama, said that if the stimulus is passed, he was start hiring. Immediately. So, one of the ways to make the stimulus bill work for you, is to hop on Recovery.gov, a government website that will list exactly how the money of the package is spent. Then, apply for jobs at those companies which recieve government money. They will be under tremendous pressure to hire.
