A seed of doubt…

Monsanto, the world’s largest seed company and a leader in production (if that’s the word for it) of genetically engineered and modified crops, is announcing a layoff of roughly 900 employees. In addition, the company announced it would be restructuring its Roundup program (the herbicide-producing branch of the company). Granted, things aren’t all bad at Monsanto, as it beat Wall Street estimates (expected was profit of 1.18 a share, but actuals were 1.25 a share).
Still, Monsanto is a large company that will probably be around for quite some time to come. If they offered you a job, I wouldn’t pass it up.
