A lot of the June economic indicators were looking better than expected in June (maybe not good, but better than expected). Which means that it’s possible the recovery could be on its way. Once the recovery starts, there are going to be some companies poised to make a strong comeback, like Microsoft, Google, Intel, and according to a CNNMoney article, Cisco. The reason why watching the economy, overall, is so important is because it could give you clues as to when companies like Cisco are going to start hiring again (they are currently in the process of restructuring, phasing out 2000 employees or so). But once the economy starts going again, these companies will need more people — and they’ll probably hire the frist qualified people with their foot in the door. Make sure it’s you.
